Tyler Patchin, MSW, LSW, is a Masters level Social Worker who earned his degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 2016. Along with joining the aha NOW! team in 2017, he also works with high school students through Youth First, Inc., a non profit agency in Indiana dedicated to strengthening children and families.
Tyler always knew he wanted to help people but it wasn’t until he was in college at the University of Southern Indiana when he found the social work profession. “It’s such a privilege and honor for others to trust you with their life story. Helping people discover the potential they have is such a rewarding experience to be a part of.”
Tyler has a special interest in the therapeutic use of photography. Therapeutic photography promotes the overall well being of individuals, couples or families. It increases positive self talk while becoming aware of ones self. Therapeutic photography can help in many aspects of life including: improving relationships, decreasing conflict, increase self-knowledge and creates positive change. Tyler makes a conscious effort to utilize Evidenced Based Therapy models during therapy.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. Traveling and being outdoors as much as possible are a high priority of his. He tries to stay as physically active as possible by playing tennis and enjoys running on a regular basis.
