Lainie, LMHCA, earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Indiana before completing her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Murray State University. During graduate school, Lainie developed a strong interest in research, with her graduate research focusing on stigma among mental health professionals in rural settings and how stigma can impact treatment.

Throughout her career, Lainie has worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, inpatient hospitalization, and higher education. These experiences have allowed her to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds while developing a well-rounded approach to treatment. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults.

Lainie utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). She believes therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest while also working toward meaningful goals. Lainie values having direct conversations when needed and believes clients benefit from both support and practical strategies as they work through challenges.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Lainie now calls Southern Indiana home. She is passionate about advocating for others and believes in giving back to the community she is part of. She volunteers at community events and serves as a member of the Legal Aid Society of Evansville. She values service, advocacy, and helping others access the support they need and deserve.

Outside of work, Lainie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, gardening, and exploring nature. She has a special appreciation for animals, insects, and wildlife and is currently training her dog, Willow, to become a therapy dog. When she’s not outside, you’ll likely find her working on DIY projects with her family or cheering on her son at his sporting events.
