Terra Ours earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Southern Indiana. She brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families through her roles with the Warrick County School Corporation and Youth First, where she served as a School Social Worker. Throughout her career, Terra has developed a strong passion for supporting the emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs of individuals across educational and community settings.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Terra works with children, teens, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family or peer relationship difficulties, and school-related issues. She believes that every individual possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience.
Terra utilizes an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s specific needs and goals. Her therapeutic framework incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based practices. She also incorporates creative and expressive interventions, including play therapy, sand tray therapy, mindfulness techniques, and other experiential approaches that foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
Born and raised in Southern Indiana, Terra values the importance of community, connection, and family. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and their dogs. Together, they enjoy cheering on their favorite sports teams, exploring the outdoors on their 4-wheeler, and making memories while camping as a family.
