Devan Grammer, MS, LMHCA, earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University. She has experience working in community mental health and crisis intervention settings, supporting children, adults, and families through emotional and situational challenges.
Devan believes therapy is most meaningful when it is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in each person’s lived experience. She works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns, and substance use.
Devan takes an integrative approach to care, drawing from harm reduction, narrative therapy, and somatic practices, with an emphasis on the mind-body connection in healing. She believes healing does not look the same for everyone and that meaningful change can occur at many stages of readiness. She also supports clients in gently unlearning rigid societal expectations about what “healthy” should look like while building awareness of how life circumstances and larger systems outside one’s control can shape experiences in ways that are not personal failures.
For Devan, “harm reduction means meeting people where they are, not where we assume they should be, and honoring each step they choose toward safety, stability, and self-understanding
